Idiot Female Journalist Says Games “Not Too Bad, Really.”

February 7, 2008

The Daily Greer’s top Reporter For Misinformed, Opinionated, Sexist Drivel, Liz Banal last night shocked the feminine world to the core by claiming that games were “not too bad, really.”

Flying in the face of all other sour faced, middle-aged old bats in the British press, Banal (42 year old mother of three) claimed that she actually didn’t mind her kids playing games.  “If I’m honest, at least their brains are working, instead of them just switching off in front of CBBC.  The puzzle solving in many games helps their logic, and the faster action games help their dexterity.  Obviously I limit their time on them and combined with outdoor activities I see no reason why games shouldn’t be part of anyone’s lifestyle.”

Disgusted colleagues were outraged and are pressuring for Banal to be sacked for “crimes against wimminhood.”  Jane Beige, head of Man Bashing at The News of the Gutter said “For years wimmin have been trying to blame all society’s ills on video games, from fat teenagers, to disturbed looking blokes going on killing sprees, to most male’s poor oral sex technique.  This rash statement has probably put us back a good 15 years.  My journalistic sisters and I are disgusted.”

But Banal continued unabashed, adding “I even let Theo, my husband, play the games too.  It’s a fun activity for him to do with the kids and it reminds him of when he used to play Space Invaders as a child.  What’s wrong with seeing a man happy?”
